if you are betting on an accumalator in football and one of the matches is abandoned what happens?

Posted on December 2009 in matched betting

if all your predictions are correct but one of the games gets called off does the entire bet keep going until the abandoned games is played or are you simply returned the money you lay on the bet?

You would probably get your stake back but it depends entirely on the rules of the bookmaker.

In Poker if some1 goes all in be4 u and u dont hav anough chips to match ther bet and you win what happens? Do i win all chips off the other player or do i only win the amount of chips that i bet?

You will only win the amount of cips that you bet.

e.g:

Palyer A go all in for 200 you go all in for 100 you will win 200 and player A will get back 100.

Betting in the UK - How does it work like odds?

Posted on December 2009 in matched betting

ive never betted before but i want to bet on a football game but i dont understand how it works
for example in ladbrokes it says

for a football match

11/4

4/1

what does this mean? i use to think for example if its 2/6 that means u bet £2 and win £6 if you win. but then that wouldnt make sense if you have odds like 4/1

Using the odds you have given

11/4 For every £4 staked you get 11 + your original stake.

4/1 For every £1 staked you £4 + your original stake.

You should always divide by the 2nd number & multiply by the 1st

For instance - I place £10 on the 11/4 shot - £10 / 4 = £2.50 x 11 = £27.50 + £10 = Total return £37.50

Can i ever stop betting cold?

Posted on November 2009 in matched betting

I really want to quit sports betting. I know I have a problem and I just cannot fight the urge. I have lost a good amount in previous years and yet caught in the same predicament currently. The urge is overwhelming and difficult to stop. Its like if I was in a boxing match, I get knocked out, I continue to get up and get knocked out again. Instead of staying on the turf, I get up only to get knocked again. I am really exhausted and need to stop cold. I have been to GA but found no help there. Advice?

You need to quit cold-turkey. It’s that simple. It’s all in your head, recognize that. You aren’t going to win your money back, and even if you did you wouldn’t be able to walk away. Find more consistent ways to make money, busy yourself with whatever you like to do, and stop watching sports for a little while.

Be strong. Good luck.

If you go to a betting shop and bet £1 the outcome of 5 matches, how much are you estimated to win?

Posted on November 2009 in matched betting

I know it depends on who the teams are playing, but say I bet that Aston Villa, Chelsea, Man Utd, Liverpool and Man City were to win their matches, how much would I get?

You’ll probably earn around £30 for that bet. 30/1 for predicting 5 matches.
